This page explains how Tweetroot uses and protects your personal information. If you have any questions about this privacy policy, please contact brent@rubbledev.com
Tweetroot is an app that allows you to create word clouds from Twitter feeds and searches. As such, the app connects to Twitter & the Twitter API (Application Programming Interface) to retrieve tweets, which are then used to create the word clouds displayed within the app. You should refer to Twitter’s privacy policy to understand how Twitter handles your personal information.
The app requires you to authenticate using a Twitter account on your iOS device. This is required in order for the app to be granted permission from Twitter to make requests to their API to retrieve tweets. Your credentials are never accessed directly by the app, and none of the data associated with your Twitter account, including profile, follower, following info and statuses are ever collected or sent to any server owned or operated by me. All interactions with Twitter within the app are directly between the app and the Twitter API. You can revoke the permissions of the app by signing out within the app or through the Settings app.
Analytics & Crash Reporting
Tweetroot may collect anonymous data regarding usage and performance of the app. No information relating to your Twitter account is ever collected or used for these purposes. The anonymous data collected and used for these purposes includes: statistics such as how long the app is being used, what app features are being used and data relating to bugs and crashes. This data is collected purely to aid in improving the app and further development of features for the app. The analytics data is collected via the Flurry analytics platform. Crash report data is collected via the Crashlytics platform. Please refer to Flurry & Crashlytics’ privacy policies to understand how they handle transfer and collation of this data.
